About Lacy Accounting Services

Lacy Accounting Services was built with a simple idea: accounting and tax support should create real value for its clients. Too often, business owners pay for services that feel reactive, unclear, or overpriced for what they deliver. This firm exists to change that.

We focus on providing practical, timely, and personalized financial insight that helps you make better decisions throughout the year—not just at tax time. Whether it’s bookkeeping, tax preparation, or proactive tax strategy, every service is designed to be accurate, efficient, and actually useful to your business.

Our approach prioritizes providing our clients actionable insight and true value for their money. Tax planning and strategy shouldn’t cost as much as—or more than—the tax savings it generates. Bookkeeping shouldn’t just track numbers—it should help you understand them. And you should never feel like you are chasing your accountant just to get answers to your questions.

We also take a deliberate approach to growth. Rather than maximizing volume, the firm intentionally limits the number of clients it takes on to ensure each client receives the time, attention, and responsiveness they deserve. This allows for deeper relationships, more proactive communication, and a better understanding of each client’s unique goals and challenges.

We specialize in supporting small businesses, particularly in real estate and service based industries, with services that scale alongside you. From foundational bookkeeping to multi-entity tax planning, the goal is always the same: meet you where you are and help you get where you want to be.

About the Founder

Lacy Accounting Services is led by Emily Lacy, CPA, who brings over a decade of public accounting experience working closely with individuals and small business owners.

Over the years, I experienced more and more of a disconnect with the way public accounting firms are so often run, with billable hours and maximizing profitability trumping client satisfaction. I was questioned when I spent “too long” speaking with a client or working on a tax return or financial statement. Taking the time to fully answer a client’s questions meant either charging the client an exorbitant hourly fee for the privilege or choosing to omit the time and essentially work for free to make up the hours later with work that I felt comfortable with billing. Neither of those options sat well with me.

I founded this firm to offer a more responsive and thoughtful client experience—one that goes beyond compliance. I believe that good accounting isn’t just about delivering numbers, but about helping my clients understand them. My approach emphasizes clear, straightforward guidance that not only supports better decisions but also builds confidence in those decisions over time.

At the end of the day, this is a relationship-driven firm. You’re not just another return or set of books—you’re building something, and I’m here to support that with clarity, insight, and dependable service.
